Asa Gervich has been an environmental and place-based educator for six years. He currently teaches at Sunnyside Environmental School, an urban, K-8 public school with an environmental science and justice focus. Prior to Sunnyside, he taught third grade for several years at a small school in the agricultural community of Sauvie Island. He has also been an arts instructor for adults with develpmental disabilities, a musical recording artist, and continues to be an avid outdoorsman. He received his Master of Arts in Teaching from the Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education in Portland, OR in 2010.
